As many of you know, meal planning has always been a topic that would send me into a panic attack. Here is a previous blog post if you would like a reminder. http://www.ohmythisisgood.com/2/post/2011/08/meal-planning-panic-attack.html
I've played around with meal planning for the last few months, and while it is true that it sucks the life right out of me...it does seem to make others around me quite happy. So, this one is for them. I hope they appreciate it.
I did a bit of research on several meal planning sites, and I have decided to use "Food on the Table" http://www.foodonthetable.com/dashboard to help me along.. It has a great feature that looks at your local grocery store (I like to shop at Kroger) and will suggest meals that coincide with what is currently on sale. This could potentially save a lot of money, and saving money always makes me happy. It is very user friendly, and I love that it has a mobile app, too. We have already tried several recipes, and all have been good. The free version allows you to plan 3 meals at a time, and the upgraded version has unlimited. I started with free. :)
Here is a meal I have planned for this week from the site, and it's cooked in a slow cooker.
Tune in tomorrow for Resolution #2.
